Does anyone make a good Webley WG resin gun? I know for years they mistook the WG for a Mark IV which is why this vendor states his kit is an Indy gun.

I emailed him to see if he'd consider making a Webley WG kit. Maybe others could do the same.

Good luck with that. I've been looking for one for a year now. People will tell you to talk to Rook, but I assure you that he will not make one for you, as he has his hands full right now with his current run.

It is so funny that I can go online right now and buy a machined metal reproduction of the exact blaster that Luke Skywalker used in Empire Strikes Back for less than $200, but nowhere can I find a replica of a gun that ACTUALLY EXISTS!

I think that is probably why you don't. I think there is a liability issue if the guns are too realistic. Face it, all it takes is some kook to rob a gas station with it and get shot by the cops. Then someone goes sue happy.

maboot, I just mentioned in another thread that as soon as I'm finished with my 30'x50' shop were I'll be restoring muscle cars I am going to try and cold cast some WGs the very same way Rook does. I let him know and would be contacting him about it. I'm a pretty good craftsman.

in canada, a broom handle mauser is considered to be an antique weapon and therefore you do not need any papers to buy one or a replica of it..........which explains why i've got 2 han solo blasters

Actually G, our Canadian laws are a little funny. The original Mauser, built before 1898 (I think it's 1898) is an antique. A replica made today would be considered a firearm and would have to be register as such, just like a modern cap and ball replica is a firearm, but a civil war era one is an antique. The exception comes in at flintlocks. A modern replica of a flintlock is an "implied antique", I don't need any paper work for my flintlock Hawkens rifle, but I do need my firearms license to buy the powder. BUT, on a happier note, we can mail order hand guns directly to our front door! I got my S&W Brazilian via internet, delivered to the door by Canada Post ( I had to tie this response back to Indy somehow).

i guess the geniuses at canada post thought i was getting a real mauser then.....ha ha ha ha.....suckers!

very wierd.....i've been receiving prop resin guns for a while now through private mail.....declared as 'antique toy/prop gun' and have never had any problems.

how do we mail order hand guns to our front door? i do have my restricted firearms licence but i thought you have to jump through hoops with your local gun dealer to get a gun that you wanted.....didn't even occur to me that you can get one through the mail.....hmmmmmmm
