US Wings leather jacket vs walgreen's $50 special leather ja

A few years ago I got a black leather jacket from walgreens for $50.. for the price though I had my doubts as whether or not it was really leather. I can't tell the difference. It's a nice jacket for the price.
But now that I want to get a real quality US Wings jacket ($230) I kinda think to myself well I already have a leather jacket, will there be a big noticeable difference?
Like will I really be able to tell "oo wow this feels and looks so much better"?
Are US Wing's jackets just cheap (price-cheap) or low quality?

umm, seriously... you will be able to tell a difference. It's like a Cadillac compared to a Yugo (Google it). The weight, the feel, the...well everything, you're buying a quality jacket here. I'm sure everyone here that owns one will be able to confirm what I just said. "Trust Me"...

You will certainly be able to tell a big difference in the feel of the jacket and the construction. The main issue I've ever heard of concerning Wings is some of the details on the jacket aren't SA or if you have special sizing concerns. I don't ever recall anyone doubting the quality of their jackets.
I've had a couple and they were great jackets.

I purchased a USW pre-distressed cowhide jacket this past June and I wore it out in public for the first time today. It is truely a well built jacket. The weight is perfect, it's roomy and is just flatout comfortable. Sure it may not be SA and they run a little big, but it is a good jacket. You will definetly tell the difference between a Walgreens jacket and a U.S. Wings. "Trust me." ;-)

USW are some of the best constructed jackets out there; they make jackets worn by folks in the military. If you get a USW it will last you decades of wear - real wear.
But what USW costs $230? Goat is the cheapest and I think that's just under $300 or about $320 with shipping. If you are talking about one of the Blue Label jackets, those are made in China, and while they might be nice, they may not be of the same quality as the USA made Wings.

Not worried about SA since it's an A-2

A couple years ago, I bought a leather A2-type jacket from Sears for $60 (X-mas special). Compared to my recently-purchased Todds Standard jacket, which is falling apart in many places, the Sears jacket looks and is built like a $500 jacket. Usually you get what you paid for, but here, this was definately not the case.

I had no idea that Walgreens even sold clothing, let alone leather jackets. This clearly must have been years ago or maybe Walgreens are different in certain areas of the country?

Walgreens will sell different items from time to time. My nearest Walgreens in big on selling the local big college's gear.
Nine times out of ten you should be able to tell the difference between a cheap leather jacket and a quality one like US Wings. However, every so often you get lucky with a inexpensive jacket.
I wore a $50 Wilson cafe racer/biker jacket for many years that would easily match up against anything Vanson put out.

What does it mean when no tags list what type of leather it is?
I've been trying to make it to a real leather store to see what cowhide vs goatskin feels like and what the texture/shape these jackets take etc..
there's one in a local mall but the lady that works there hounds you as you look around.. I hate that so I have to leave

Will the US Wing's goat feel soft, will it drape well?
