On the whip Basics homepage we started two new things... A gallery to show some whips and how they were made,
and a biographies section, were some whipmakers tell their story but I hope in the near future there'll be more stories and backgrounds. I'd be happy if the whipmakers here in the forum would join us! We all know their whips. But we know less about how they came to whipmaking and their background. If you like, check the site (http://www.Whip-Basics.de) and - perhaps - we'll have some more stories in the future there.

Great job on all counts, my friend! Congrats on getting the second DVD footage in the can, and good luck getting it to market!!

Robbie, your help to the beginners will be great. The video is priceless indeed. It felt like you weren't talking to the audience, but to ME directly. The site is simple to navigate without cramming the beginner with tons of information that they don't need yet. The website has a "homely" feel to it. I think that if a beginner where to ask me where to start, I'd recommend your site first, and then tell them to come to COW to find countless threads of wonderful help.

in the next few weeks there will be some great guys with their stories. And - the next - and last - preview clip
from Vol. II is online now. It shows some samples out of the target work lesson. The production loaded it

Really nice site! I also like the intro video, as well as the targeting clip. The pace is easy and relaxed, and puts the learner at ease. Best of luck with your DVDs, Robby!

Are you doing any whip cracking workshops in Germany? I was just in Australia this past month and I did a couple workshops over there. I think it'd be fun to do something in Germany, if there was enough interest in the style of multiple-cracking that I'm into.

Adam - thanks for your good wishes! I really need them. I'd be happy to meet you here in germany
and learn from you. But - I'm sorry to say that - the interest here is very low. I give lessons, yes. But not big
workshops as you have in other countries. I try hard to raise the image of whipcracking here in my country,
but it's not easy. There are too much folks here pretending to be whip experts, but do nothing than try to
look dangerous and damage their whips. (Adam - I sent you a PM)

Kiscien - that would be a meeting! We invite all the other whipmakers from all over the world
and have a great party then


By the way... That invitation to the whip Basics homepage was serious! I honestly invite all whipmakers to introduce
themselves in that bios section. There are so much sites with "Look, I have a cool whip here!" But we all know that less
about the masters who braid them. Again - I'm happy for every whipmaker who likes to join us! Let us hear
your story. Tell us about your life. Tell us about the man, about the woman, behind the art.

Adam, Kiscien, Simon, Lauren, Steve, Paul... And all the other whipmakers and masters; send your bio, your story.
One or more pictures. This time it's not about your whips. This time it's about you. I can't do anything more

In the meantime we have four bios online. The last addition is Adam Winrich. And - hopefully soon -
there'll be the stories of Laurene Wickline, Paul Nolan and Bernardo del Carpio. They're all very, very
busy at the moment, but they all agreed to write down their stories. So this site will grow and grow...
And soon we'll have there new additions to that "step by step" whip gallery, too.

We have a new section in the gallery. It's kind of a manual how to build your own target stand.
Well, without the kind help of Dan Borton it wouldn't have been possible. So - thanks again to him!
The next addition will be another whip and a demountable target stand. A normal high target
stand sometimes is a problem to put into your car; and for these chances we'll have that other
one, soon in the gallery.
