What's the cost of Magnolis custom?
Looks awesome! That's the Raiders color and appearance.

What a lovely jacket! Fantastic likeness to the original. Magnoli certainly delivers the goods and the distressing is great!
One of the finest lamb jackets I've seen. Thanks for posting these new pics as the original thread photos made the jacket look almost black in some shots.

That was one of the problems people had lol. Even that outdoor shot is in the shade.
I paid about $500 Australian when the US exchange rate was still good.

I really do like these Magnoli jackets. I'm seriously considering getting one of his LC style when the dust settles from my recent purchases.

His jackets are just magnificent. Price (with shipping included) is listed on his website, along with the most common (but certainly not all possible) variations.

Nice one! That's the first Mag i've seen that didn't look black.
MOD EDIT: dont go around the filter! they must be dark...

Very nicely made. However, what's with the 0.25 inch stitching going all around the pocket flaps, pockets and collar? Only the top edge of the pocket flap should have that much distance between the edge of the leather and the stitching line. Everywhere else should have the stitching very close to the edge.

Yep. I'll echo what everyone else is saying, in that it's a great looking jacket. I guess I should look at his website.

That is a great looking jacket, like Chris I'm not keen on the pocket piping but everything else looks solid and that's a really nice looking leather.
I never understood the big brass buckles but you can't have everything!

They've gotten the arm to yoke seam ratio right, though it's odd that the back panel doesn't extend all the way to the arm seam. Ah well, who'd know but a bunch of stitch nazis like us anyway? ;-)

Not any darker than the Wested Authentic, really. They do seem to photograph darker, though. I'm thinking the predistressing changes the finish enough to get a better picture. He also has lighter (and even darker) browns.

I agree, Chris. But it is a lovely looking jacket all the same. Good pocket size and shape.

It could well be coincidence, Chewie.
Just sayin' until just now every photo i've seen of a Magnoli, including outdoor shots, showed a jacket i'd swear was closer to black than brown.

I've never gotten around to picking up a Wested, but now that I've seen this jacket I may just have to break down and order from Magnoli.
In looking at the Magnoli website, I see there are several different versions of this jacket. Do you know which one you have?

The versions match up to the movies, i.e., Raiders is Version A, Temple is version B, and so on.

That is a great looking jacket man!!! I was wondering, when you order a jacket from Magnoli, what are all the optioins? I know there are a few listed on the site but others have mentioned more options. Like, what kind of distressing is available?
Thanks
D

I like it. It looks rugged. The buckles may be large, but they do not look fragile, that is for sure. It has it's own unique look - I love the overall shape.

If you look at Magnoli's Vintage Adventurer you will find the finer stitching. he can do the stitching.

E-mail him, because he's the best one to ask. In my experience, though, he's willing to do just about anything in the way of options. He just started doing distressing, mainly by hand I believe. I've seen two examples posted around, one very lightly, the other more heavily.

Mine is lightly distressed, there is a TOD jacket that looks like it was mauled by a bear ;-)
He will do anything you want at a cost. I didn't really know what the jacket specs entailed to change things, at least from mine things such as the full back panel can be requested. If you are serious for one shoot Magnoli off an email, he is awesome to deal with and will always be more than happy to help!

Thanks for the info. I have heard others mention that magnoli jacket that is heavily distressed. I've done a couple searches but can't find pix of it, can anyone point me in the right direction please...

Here is a slightly more heavily distressed jacket:
...and another:
Kind regards,
Magnoli

the distressing looks great, but is it me or does the pockets look really high from the bottom of the jacket in that bottom pic?

No, I think those are about right for an LC. If I remember correctly, the pockets were 2.75 or 3 inches (depending who you ask) from the bottom hem.
Edited because I'm at work and can't see the bottom picture. What a wonderful proxy server! I can see the two top pics but not the bottom.
