Finally cracked my Joe Strain!

Well, weather and timing has kept my brand new Strain whip nestled in it's bag for a couple of weeks. Today, however, the temperature reached a bearable 40f, the ground was dry, and the whip came out to play.
I noticed some strange differences compared to my experiences with the IAOB I have. Firstly (and most oddly), I cracked the Strain much more easily while wearing gloves than bare handed... the complete opposite of what happens with my IOAB.
Second, the Strain is louder!
Third, some cracks are harder to do, or at least take an adjustment in my style. I expected that. But some are actually easier, which surprised me. Particularly the SoC crack and my off-hand use.
Finally, both are 8 footers, and the Strain feels lighter in my hand, but I tire more quickly. It feels like more of a workout.
Needsless to say, I like.
