Can i shrink my wested shirt

I have a wested indy shirt, how can i shrink it a little, the wife wont touch it lol

You can't control the shrinkage via washing in hot water and drying in an electric or gas drier. The only way to control an alteration is to undo the sewing, make the adjustments, and resew it. The more seams that the tailor has to undo, the higher the alteration cost.

Yes, but a good hot water washing will help.

Yes, a bucket of hot water will shrink the cotton shirt. But you don't know by how much. Maybe it will shrink it too much. The old rule of thumb when buying Levi jeans years ago was to allow for one inch shrinkage in the waist and 2 inches in the length. I certainly would no want my shirt sleeves to shrink 2 inches. My WPG shirts shrunk when washed in COLD water and hung to dry. I couldn't control the shrinkage, so I was guessing at my correct ordering size.

I've been thinking about the same thing. I'm a large (normally anyway), but as with every other manufacturer Wested seems to have it's own understanding of "large". Hence, my wested is maybe a little too large. I've not washed it yet, but I'm really hoping for some shrinkage, even though 2 inches might be a bit too much!

My Wested (M) was way too big for me, and I was unable to shrink it to any appreciable degree with hot water washing and hot air drying. I'd say no. At least I couldn't tell the difference.

no ive had no luck, i washed at a very hot temp, and dried but it hasnt budged, the problem i feel with it is that the bodt section is too square, too big.
