My New Wested Washed Goat!

Post by jnicktem »

A few days ago my Wested Washed Goat Raiders jacket arrived! I got this jacket from an exchange when I originally received a lambskin jacket (which I did not order...) and I sent it back asking for this. I also changed the sizing, since the lambskin jacket was much too big on me. It was a 44L, with 1/2" inches more on the sleeves and 1" longer in the back. When I sent it back I put in a note asking for Raiders jacket in a washed goat with the 42L measurements.

I sent in the jacket and received an e-mail from Gemma a few days later saying she got it and got my note for the new jacket. She said they would get to work on it right away. A little while later I sent her an e-mail asking for an update, and she said the jacket would be finished within 7 days and when it was sent I would get a tracking number. 7 days later Gemma e-mailed me the tracking number and the jacket arrived at my door 5 days later!

Really, I do not think it would be possible for me to be any happier about this jacket than I already am! The jacket fits me just perfectly (exactly how I dreamed it would be!) and the washed goat leather looks and feels amazing!!! Plus, to my eye the workmanship on this jacket is top-notch!

I have to say this is the best jacket I have ever owned! Thanks Wested!

Best leather there is for an Indy jacket. Period.

Enjoy!

looks perfect.. I agree, that's the best leather right there..

I'm guessing a Long is not an OTR selection, right? (and therefore, it's an extra 30 pounds sterling more) To help me with my future purchase, would you be able to give the sleeve and back measurements? cheers

Correct, the 42L is not an OTR jacket. But I needed the long for it to fit me, so I did what I had to do.

The sleeves measure 25 3/4" and the back is 26 1/4".

cool stuff, thanks.. when I measured for my ToD, I came out at 26 for both, so I know to make changes to the L..

only a month to go for the yearly bonus :D

I absolutely love the washed goat hide. I'd been thinking about the dark lamb for my ToD but, in the end, I had to go for the washed goat. RaiderS is right that it screams Raiders and I think it yells pretty loud for Temple as well. :)

Congratulation, this jacket fit you perfectly.
And I'm sure you're going to be very please of the washed goat, it's a very nice hide, I have it for a month now and I couldn't be happier with it.

It really isn't. In fact it seems only slightly thicker than some of the lambskin jackets I have had. This one blows all of those other ones away!

I know, you look thrilled!

Just kidding. The jacket looks like a great fit on you. I really like the sleeve diameter. Pocket flaps, not so much.

:? What? The washed goat is extremely thin. Doesn't look thick at all.

oh man your in for a treat with that jacket. It's going to distress SOOOOOO easily and it's going to give you that fantastic aged look faster than you think. Great choice on the hide. Washed Goat is definitely one of the BEST !!!

I just received a washed goat last night. High quality, very good fit and feel. Leather is very supple. Current exchange rates put the custom right around $200. Nobody makes a better Wested than Wested. ;-)
