An Odd "Flightsuits" Jacket Question:

Hey all!
I was reading about the Flightsuits Expedition jacket and I read that, when researching and designing the jacket, they took actual pics of the jacket used in the Raiders of the Lost Ark film. But just outta curiosity...are these pics available for the general public for everyone to look at and admirer?
Was this the jacket, that Flightsuits used, the jacket that was up for auction at Butterfield & Butterfield several years back?
I was just curious because I am facinated by the Flightsuits jacket and I am hoping to add the "Flightsuits Dark Brown Goatskin" to my collection someday!
High Regards,
Captain D

That would be _ who actually saw the jacket. My recollection is that someone who worked for _, their father was a profilic collector. He found out that this person actually bought in an auction a jacket from the movie. After some deft negotiating on _'s part, they agreed to a session where _ was welcome to look at the jacket. The ground rules were no pictures and he was not allowed to touch. He carefully drew a diagram of the jacket and took many, many measurements and detailed notes that comprised the key elements of the jacket. It was thorough. _ being an accountant and CPA used his talents of being a meticulous accountant. The jacket was later then sent off for some restoration. It was really, really beat up. In fact it looked like it was dragged behing a truck. What was erie, during the restoration that was proved to be correct. When the jacket lining was removed, inside the jacket lining was written, "Terry Leonard". Terry Leonard was the stunt guy that did the stunt of Indy being dragged. The pictures were either from screen grabs from the movie and/or pictures supplied by the collector. And no, the pictures due to the wishes of the collector were not allowed to be published due to privacy matters.
I think I got the major point of the story. Normally, I would have deferred _ to respond. But hopefully if he is reading this account, he can add or correct what was written above.
Prior to the note taking from _, our own Lee Keppler took extensive notes from key parts of Raiders. That was around the 1985 timeframe. Lee used to sell adventure gear at that time, and the jacket was part of his dream for authenticity. So in the Paul Harvey style of telling the story, "now you know the rest of the story".
Hope this helps.

WOW!
"Thank you" Sergei for taking the time to answer my questions!
That is a rare item of movie memorbilia to have the jacket used in the Convoy truck scene indeed!
Thanks again Sergei for the info!
