Can anyone tell what this is? It looks a lot like the S&W that Indy used minus the swivel.

That may be a smaller-frame Smith and Wesson, called the 'Victory Model'.

During WWII, us Yanks helped supply the British war effort via "Lend Lease"...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lend-Lease

One of the products of this action was a particular Smith, (one of which I used to own) called the 'Victory Model'. It was based on the Military & Police Model of 1905, which is a dead ringer for the HE2-originally chambered for .38 special. Most produced for the program used a more common round for Britain, which was .38 S&W.

When I see a Smith like that on British soil, it's the first thing I think of....

BUT, due to the lack of a lanyard ring or parkerized finish, and with commercial grips, it's probably a M&P, or one of the 'civilian' models (these were rarer).

I believe , if my memory is correct, Bond uses a 1917 Smith+Wesson in "From Russia With Love."

Roger Moore appears to be holding a S&W K frame 4in barreled fixed sight revolver.

Judging from the shape of the front sight and also the shape of the wood on the grip, my best guess is that it's probably a Model 10.

It clearly isn't any of the Indy revolvers.

I think PussyGalore is using a S&W 45. in "Goldfinger" as she holds Bond hostage on the plane. Bond even references it as 45. and it appears to have a 4" barrel as well.

In the book "Man with the olden Gun"...Scaramanga uses a gold plated, long-barrelled, single action Colt .45...and definitely Bond uses a revolver in LALD....

I almost thought it was a Ruger Blackhawk...or maybe even a Redhawk....Nice to know that they used a model 29 though...

If you watch the special features of Live and Let Die, you'll see Roger Moore posing for this shot in between filming the boat chase on the bayou. And as far as the theatrical Bond using revolvers, according to imfdb.org:

In You Only Live Twice, Bond uses a Colt Detective Special to kill a would-be assassin and later in the volcano Blofeld is going to shoot Bond with a Webley Mark VI. Tanaka throws a Ninja star, knocking it from his hand. Then Bond picks it up and uses it in the assault.

In Diamonds are Forever, although not listed, when Bond goes to see Willard Whyte at his house Leiter gives him a revolver. Probably a Colt Detective Special again.

In Live and Let Die Bond uses a nickel S&W 29 when he rescues Solitaire.

And then in Die Another Day Bond uses a S&W Model 10 HB when he infiltrates the clinic.

I'm almost positive Bond doesn't use a revolver in From Russia With Love. UNLESS, it's during the boat chase.. no wait, he used a flare gun to set off the fuel barrels. But, does he get a revolver from the driver of the truck before getting to the boat?

I may have spoke too soon. I can't remember now. :-k

No, Bond doesn't use a revolver in From Russia With Love.

Imfdb doesn't even list the flare pistol.

I couldn't remember if one of the men with the pickup had a revolver.

Strange that IMFB doesn't list the flare gun.
