My "rushed", yet pretty accurate Holster.

Wested had shown a few items on their website, that were for sale... But it turned out they didn't really have them in stock. A few weeks ago, Peter had purchased quite a few boxes of items that belonged to Noel Howard. Some of the boxes that had the contents written on the outside of the box, apparently weren't totally accurate as to what were in the boxes.

So, when I "purchased" a holster from their site, I actually purchased a fictional holster.

To make a long story short, due to a two week delay in getting a response from Gemma, I had to ask a gentleman I know who does high quality leather work, to crank out a holster for me, for a Halloween party, which was only three days away.

I sent him the measurements and a few links to some pictures, and this is what he made for me, in less than a few hours...

Here's a few BIG pictures...

Not bad, huh? :)

He's made a LOT of leather items for me in the past.

Here's some of the other things he made custom...

This is a rig he made for my wife's "Zoe" costume, from the television show Firefly...

And this is my "Mal Reynolds" rig from Firefly as well...

But his crowning glory, is all the leather work he did for my Altair/Assassin's Creed costume...

Here are some Flickr photos, of more of it... http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfisher/ ... 873022393/

His name is Paul Combest and he has an Ebay store called Reddog Leather. He can make anything out of leather. It's pretty cool what he can do.

Sooo... I guess there's supposed to be a drainage hole in the bottom though, huh?
