Coyle's Boots - How small are they?

I want to figure out how far off the sizing is so I can get people the right size. I'd appreciate the input. Thanks!

i voted for the last one. i think they measured a size 9 exactly and built the boot around it

i'm pretty much the average 9 D with most of the shoes i buy. i was able to get my foot in whilst loosening the laces alot....but it was too tight to even put my weight on my foot. you should have these back already.....i think a 10 would work.....you think?

I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered an 8D. Tried them on today and they were too small. If there were an 8E that would fit better. The sizing may be off; ie the boots may read 8 but are a 7... not sure if they are using US sizing. On a very positive note, they are well built and look great

I put them up against my Alden's and aside from the width they are identical.

I would say they are identical if not just a tad lighter in weight. You have to consider the sole/heal is thick leather and cork with a rubber heal tip. That is a lot of the weight. The leather is a tad.. and I do mean a tad thinner but still in the quality build side of things. I think they may wear better then my Alden's which had the surface skin rip and peel off around the heals in the first few months.

That made me never to want to buy Alden's again.. For $300 I expected durability and lots of (5 minimum) years of use

For $80 I expect a few good years before replacing but I tend to buy every 5
years. Add to this, the color on the Coyle's are very good in the brown. The Alden's were too orange... Sorry, I'm getting way off topic for this thread...

Yes the boots are "equal" weight, well built and good color. Size is an issue but I have no worries that will be straitened out. For $80 you can't loose to the best alternative to the "Indy" boot
