Stetson 80's Indiana Jones hat quality?

Hello,

Does anyone know what standards of quality were for the official hats Stetson sold in the 80's? I mean the ones available in brown or grey, with no liner, and a black sticker on the underside of the crown with "Indiana Jones" logo. They are bashed in a ToD style.

That is, what's the quality of their felt?

Are these the predecessors of the "Temple"?

Thanks!

If they are the wool ones...its pretty self expanitory. The fur ones are better than the DP fur hats, but not great. They look a lot better than the DPs too.

I have a hat that seems to meet your description. It is a heavyweight very dark brown wool felt with a black Indiana Jones/ Plane sticker. The brim has a slight curl on the sides. It was advertised as made by Stetson but does not say Stetson on the label or anywhere else on the hat. It was issued in 1989 at the time of LC and I would say it is good quality,
very stiff wool felt,
