How Long Are those darn side straps?

I just got a wested ROLA Special goat and the side straps are super long... 7 inches long.. how long or short are they suppose to be?

depends on how long and/or short your waist is ;-)

....adjust them to where they are suppose to be in relation to your size.....then trim them if you want. i trimmed mine when i got my buckles installed......i think it was about 1.5" of tail past the buckle or so.....could be more...

the side strap pics on filmjackets.com make them look long but they feel goofy that long :?

yeah but the filmjacket.com shows a LC jacket.not a raiders.that LC jacket was made with to long straps.

the raiders strap length is 8.75'' long

yeah,it is not confirmed but after agent5 specs they are 8.75'' I think they are between 7'' and 8.75''.

It depends on the hardware and how you place the straps on the jacket. If you have D-rings or rectagular rings and double them back then you lose a bit of that length, making them the correct length. If you do the 7-8.75" on a Todds with a roller or single strap it will be too long. Perhaps 5" will do.

For me the optimum size for use with a triglide is 6.5 inches.
