Best deal on Indy's black LC Tie

Post by Mark Brody »

I stopped by the BX today (Military K Mart) and lo and behold, what caught my attention - the Army regulation necktie. This plain thin black tie is a steal. Brand new, it only cost me $3.90, and it's the perfect style, too - only 3 inches wide at the bottom. If you have the means to get the army regulation tie, you won't find a better deal.

It's a Dacron/Wool blend. I don't know what percent, and I've never heard of dacron before, but I guess it's basically some sort of polyester (no surprise there).

Yes, I have a similar polyester black tie too, and works perfectly. ;-)

I'd been wondering what the heck made the tie so expensive, turns out it's wool and silk woven together.

I think for most of us the military ties do the job pretty well!

I know these can be difficult to find, since military surplus stores don't usually carry this item, so if anyone wants a cheap tie, PM me.

Yes, that´s right Dacron is a PET product. We use Dacron tube grafts in Aortic surgery, cause of its good tissue tolerance.
I didn´t know, that it is also used in the textile industry.
