Trying to decide on what type of leather you would like for your TOD jacket Strones? I am thinking along the same lines here and hope someone can post those pics as I have both a Novapelle and an Authentic brown lambskin jacket. It would be nice to be able to see how the colour looks compared to either of those.

Yes we're in the same boat because I too have a novapelle and a auth. br. lamb. I hear very good things about that washed goat, but I fear it's too dark for my taste, so I would like to see some comparison pics, but it seems none is helping here! :)

Leather surface looks similar to novapelle, but what about the colour? :|

Strones, saying anything bad about the other photos you posted, but mine (in the upper left corner) seems closest to what the actual color is. It was taken outside in open shade with no flash or mixed lighting.

Having said that, the jacket is a tiny bit lighter in tone than the photo suggests. With the jacket in you hands you can sense the brown undertones much better. I think you can see this better in a close-up photo I also posted.

But you will never know what you want from a photo, you really need a sample of the hide in your hands.

Thanks for the help. Yes, I understand that your pics are the most faithful. Unfortunately it's hard to receive a sample from Wested. Can you please cut out a piece of your jacket and send it to me?

You probably also need to keep in mind that some of the heavier hides might not be a good choice because of the glued seams. I was talking to Peter about a HH jacket yesterday and asked about the Temple jacket and he mentioned that I needed to keep the glued seams in mind when choosing a leather.

I've posted these before, but they show the colour of my jackets very accurately. The washed goat vs "authentic brown" regular goat.

Yes it is, and it's on its way to ebay as no one is biting in the classifieds (despite the free Wells Lamonts!?! )
