Louie Foxx 10' KotCS Whip Review

And on the day of the movie no less! I had a bit of a financial blessing and decided it was time to get a proper Indy whip. And when it comes to whips, Louie Foxx is my go to guy. So I placed an order for one of his KotCS whips in 10' and waited about a week.
This is a wonderful whip. Color close as it appears on screen, knots well tied, a nice solid feeling whip. It has a Jacka transition that flows into Anthony's Rolling Style like it was made for it. It's very accurate right out of the box and it cracks if I breath on it. It does not feel like a long whip on a short handle that's for sure. The only things I've done to it are tie a De Longis knot in the wrist loop and add one of my own crackers (14") which has improved the response a tad.
How does it perform? To be frank, this whip hits like a truck. Doing body wraps with it new is akin to being wrapped by a semi. That's no fault of the maker mind you, it's a big whip! Right now I'd feel uncomfortable using it on a human partner, but once I train it some more it will be a fine addition to my performance and increase the "wow" factor for my show. It rolls out nice and slow and gives a wonderful crack. It will do compound throws on all angles, but as mentioned with a whip in this style "It takes a little bit more body"
Louie has done a fine job once again. I very happy with my purchase and look forward to my next whip by Mr. Foxx.

Great looking whip Hollywood, hope you have fun breaking it in. Louie made my first whip, he is extremely talented and just keeps doing a great job. I know how proud you must feel with your latest acquisition. I would be.

I'm glad you like the whip! I was surprised when you ordered a 10 foot whip, because I know you are a shorter whip guy like me .

The 10's are fun to crack!

Here's the close up of a handle of a 12 foot shotloaded bullwhip I just finished:

Hollywood, if you think the 10 foot is heavy, this 12 foot shot loaded bullwhip was a monster to swing around (but a lot of fun!)

Still lovin' my 8ft KOTCS whip from Louie ---- looks perfect, very tight feel (I guess it will loosen up more), cracks easily and easy to handle.

Congrats on your whip. Louie does a great job. I had a chance to spend some time with him. He makes a #### of a whip and he's a nice guy on top of it. He's very giving with his time.He went over some stuff to help me in my learning of whip making. Thanks again louie.
