Has anyone found any good Last Crusade 'close enough' ties at any of the local-found retail stores...?ie, Target, JC Penny's etc...?

I got mine from Solid Color Neckties:

http://www.solidcolorneckties.com/index ... atid/47423

It's polyester, and doesn't have quite the same subtle weave of the original poplin tie, but it is matte black and how can you beat under $10 shipped?

They were very easy to deal with and I had my tie in four days.

I had a black tie that I had bought with a suit from JC Penny's. It served its purpose well. I was semi-battle scarred LC Indy lol ( I had to wear that shirt three days in a row for a con so it was pretty battered)

I was already placing an order, so I bought mine from What Price Glory. I think I paid $8.00.

Here's the link

and their description;

Worn by all ranks 1926-1942 with winter uniforms. These are foreign surplus 100% wool and work very well as a substitute for the very rare US issue version.

Other idea might be to check your local police/EMS uniform shop.

They usually have black neckties in there, maybe even some clip ons if you're afraid of Nazi's choking you out with yours. :-k

If you can, visit your neighborhood military px, I got an excellent black tie for about $5, the kind worn on navy uniforms.

:) Fortunately I was at one time a police officer, so I have one of those clip-ons lying around.
