very loaded question. depends on alot of things.......thickness, geography of the original animal, tanning process, etc.
if they are both chrome tanned....they are both junk imo......

if it's the same calfskin that todd originally had, it was very pleasing in the pics. a very nice matte finish on it and it would quickly distress. i haven't seen too many of these though.
the pic of that very jacket made me buy my first todd's custom. very, very nice jacket. he's made some definite improvements since then (i believe i bought #5 of todd's custom indy's), in pattern/materials/and construction.
if i were to buy another todd's, i'd go with the washed lamb. the one i have fits, but does not fit me like indy's fitted. his washed lamb is great stuff.......the only drawback is that its too soft.
the closest hide i've seen so far to the look and feel of raiders is wested's washed goat..........but i think TN may have something to trump this ;-)

I like the look of Todd's lambskin and a lightweight jacket would be the way to go for me since I live in Los Angeles. It's mostly for my Indy gear, but I would definitely wear this on a Southern Cal. chilly night(about 68 degress
). Was there a color difference in the original calfskins Todd offered as opposed to the recent lamb?
