May I present a 50 year old leather briefcase I forgot I had in a back cupboard.

as far as I can tell it's identical to the one Indy carries into the meeting with the military big wigs in Raiders.

Great find! And spot on, as far as I can judge this. Very nic - what do you want for it, I may know an Archaeologist who has papers to store. ;)

Kidding aside - it's beautiful!

my mistake?

Jens was just kidding: he is an archaeologist and would love to have such a briefcase (as would almost all of us ;-) ).

Great find there! Put it to good use, but make sure not to use it to destruction.

Regards, Geert

Unfortunately the maker's label, if there ever was one, is now absent. What I do know is that it was bought in Norway in the 50's and owned by a very conservative Norwegian man, the sort who might write, "re-dub briefcase" once a year in his diary.

I also have, from him, a 70-year old WWII Norwegian Issue canvas and leather rucksack that was used to carry supplies and radios into the woods by the Norwegian resistance. I still use it as it's in such good condition.

Sorry, I was indeed kidding as gwyddion said. Sorry if this did not came out the way I wanted it to sound. Pardon.

But it still is a very nice bag! ;)
