My FIRST Bullwhip..... looking back...

My most recent FIRST bullwhip, was of course, the 4 plait cowhide from Lauren..... however if you want to go back and talk about my true FIRST whip, it was a whip that my grandfather made me when i was about 8 or 9 years old.......
I would questimate this was made somewhere around 1990 or there-abouts...
Its a 4 plait made from latigo.... the handle core is a wooden dowel, possibly a broom handle, then with a spiral wrap over it.
There is no fall, but rather the popper is braided directly into the end of the whip. The pommel is a length of paracord.
The areas with tape over them are there to give the whip a bit more rigidity in those areas.
I measured the whip and its around 7'-8'.....

It was pretty dry in this picture, and i have sense given it a coat of leather dressing.

Thanks for reminiscing with me...

I learned many of the basics on it...
its a little floppy for some of the more complex cracks, but it cracks really loud....
