Here's a question for the die hard SA enthusiasts. In Raiders, which way do the side straps of the jacket face? Pointed towards the back or towards the front?

pointed towards your spine through a 3 bar buckle (not sliders)....see todd's jacket.

So why do all the 'SA' jackets have them pointing forward? This has always puzzled me!

what allways puzzled me is why so many folks care about which way they point.they are just adjustment straps...but ok..this is the way it is done above.

Dude- you got members here who replace a jacket or buy another one because of stitching, collar and stormflap millimeters, seems...etc

That's what I thought, but most makers don't use that type of buckle.

because they are really difficult to find. 1" x 1.5" 3 bar center buckle in black. i found some in australia...but nowhere locally. i believe todd makes his own. the TN will hopefully have this feature.

I have those and could sell here if there was interest.
They are metal antique bronze finish but they can easily be spray painted black.

Let me know.

I'm happy with my wested as is. My wife flipped it for me at one point and I really didn't like it, so I went back to facing front.

Just for completeness sake

ToD, seeing as how this is an exact copy of the hero jacket, faces backwards

And LC was forward (and broken  )

So it is the case that the strap direction on a standard Wested can be changed by the wearer - it's not something htat has to be custom ordered?
