Hi folks,
just found some old 'work in progress' pics of jacket.
This Wested LC in authentic Brown Lambskin has been in my possession now for about nine months and I've noticed that if it's just left to hang correctly for a good length of time it seems to relax it's look and appears naturally worn.
Cheers,
JTW.

Is this a natural distressing or artificial? Looks not very natural to me...

Yeah, a nice enough jacket, but looks very sandpapered, like the backroom job on the auctioned LC jacket I've seen pics of.

I think it looks great.
but I would have had it undistressed.
I have a LC in HH..but yours just looks even more SA then mine..even though I have SA pockets and placement on it...
GREAT jacket.

I'd like to see the finished jacket as it looks now. The "in progress" / "completed" jacket only shows part of the story. Once worn over a period of time, I guess some of the distressing has dulled down and has taken on a more natural look?

Thanks chaps,
to be honest, quite a bit of subtle detail has now been added (and some removed).
I'm awaiting one further costume item, the whip, which should arrive before the end of September. When it does I shall post pics of the entire ensemble. I think they will impress.
Cheers
JTW.

I really like the constuction of that jacket. It looks very SA as far as fit. I'd like to see the completed distressing job. You probably already know this, but, in my limited experience, you can use some Pecards to take some of the sandpapered look away and make the distressing look much more natural.

Hi jones!
First the jacket looks greats. I like the drape and the collar stand, looks like in the scene at the beach.
The distressing looks indeed a bit artificial to me (Compared to the picture below). As already stated Pecards may help.
