From the look of the bow I would say that could be an Adventurer from Christy´s?

I'm gonna second Tremolo: Christys'. I'll take it a step further, though. Initially I wanted to disagree because the nasty tacks weren't there, and neither was the "flying V". Looking closely, however, there appears to have been some artistic license taken with this pic. Christys' it is.

Looks like a Christy's. I also believe you have cut the brim somewhat. Am I right?

The quality of the felt looks like Christy's for sure.

it is actually a............Borsalino! so congratulations to Indiana Strones!
I found this hat at a second hand store two years ago. It was really beaten up. it was actually a homburg when i found it.
the ribbon was rotten and the swetband was about to fall out and so on, so i had the ribbon replaced (it was grey before) and the sweatband sewn back in and made the brim more to my liking (i've never cut it) to give the hat a second chance in life
as you can see in this picture, it had bound brim but the bounding had been removed when i found it.

That hat is - like those ads are - truly a work of Art (albeit, a work of art that's seen it's share of rough years...)
Glad you gave it a second chance, Chili... that hat deserves it.
