Thank you Joe! STRAIN 8 FT. 'RAIDERS' WHIP w/ Comparison

Post by Bardoon »

Just got this puppy in over the weekend! Unfortunately I could only crack it on Sunday (we had Hurricane Hanna bringing down A LOT of rain here in Virginia on Sat.) and it works like a dream. I know this is one that we've all seen many times before but what the heck, show them off right? An 8 foot. RAIDERS-style (my favorite) Whip by Joe Strain.

These photos were taken PRE-WHIP CRACKING...I figured I might as well get some before it started darkening and getting dirty.

You can see how much the 9-footer has darkened from its natural tan...here's a photo of it from when I first got it:

Very nice whip. I am still waiting on my first Strain whip. I have a 8 foot Raiders style on order and it should be here soon. Thanks for the pics 8) I never get tired of looking at Strain whips.

Strains are just so purdy!

I love that "virgin white" color when Natural tan is new... too bad it wont last, but the colors it go thru are incredible..
congrats on your acquisition.

Starting with one of Joe's!?! That's awesome. I don't own one yet, but I've seen and held one. It will be worth the wait.
