Hey COW'ers!
I recently purchased this box that it's exclusively for hats.
As you can see the "pattern" of cardboard it's pretty simple:
And in that way the brim doesn't deforms:
I think it's pretty useful for storage purposes or to travel around the world with more than one Fedora haha.
Best Regards,

Nice find Alfonso!
Muy bien!
(I'm trying to use some of the things I've learned thus far in Spanish 101. I hope you don't mind.

@ IndianaBogart: Thanks! and on the contrary I congratulate you for learning spanish!
@indyrocks: Exactly, it's inexpensive and could be a "Do it yourself" thing! This particular one cost me about $40 pesos (about $4 USD).
Anyway, thanks for your postings so far and what the other ones think abot this?
Best Regards,
-Alfonso

That's the kind of box they used to ship Broners and Millers in, so it's a tried and true design that's been around for a while. They hold up pretty well too if you don't sit too much on top of them in storage, or the cut out will warp pretty badly.

Yup, I have a whole closet full of them from Peters Brothers. The marching band uniforms at one of the schools I used to teach at used Aussie style hats. We used to get hat boxes just like this for about $2.50 each. You could also get the plastic cardboard (I know there is a specific name for the material, I just can't think of it) for $5.00, and in a wide range of colors.

Oh I see... and nope, I think they made the boxes for themselfs, because I dont see any other "publicity" in the box.

I read the main page:
http://www.indygear.com/igABstory.html
And saw this:
Prior to heading off for location shooting, the first batch of AB hats arrived and again needed to be reshaped a bit again by Baron's to match the prototype that Bernie fell in love with and tested so well. A few also needed to have headbands adjusted. While this was happening, he also ordered hat boxes to keep them safe and to store them in on location shooting. Once on set, and for the remainder of the production, Bernie found the understanding and confidence in skills to reshape the hats himself.
Does anyone knows what kind of "Hat boxes" are they talking about?

That material is called corrugated plastic, or coroplast.
