Who has gotten a XXL Todd's jacket?

I'm thinking of getting one but not sure if it'll fit. I'm 6'3", 215 lbs. I have a 44T G&B and wear 16.5-34/35 dress shirts. The only thing that may be a problem is the length at 25 3/4". Thanks for your help!

The best thing to do is to contact Todd with your measurements. Include your concerns about length, and also, if you have a large gut like me (at 6'3" and 215, I doubt it, measure that and ask, too. It might be a factor.

JC, I'm thinking the Todd's may be short for you if that is a tall you are wearing in the photo. I'm right at 6' and sometimes a regular is too short and a tall to long. I'd say you really need the tall.

I had to get an xxl because it was too tight across my chest. I'm 6', weigh about 210 (lift lots of weights), and the jacket fits me perfectly, but it's definitely not too long. If you look at my avatar, I'm wearing it in that pick, though it's probably hard to see very well. I agree that contacting Todd is the way to go.
-'course it was weird ordering an xxl since I usually wear a large.

Goatskin????
You know, you could go custom. I think Todd still does them.

Sure, for only $350 more. It wouldn't be worth it.

I didn't realize the price diff was that big. Forget I said anything.

As I've said before, does Todd know what a market he'd have if he threw in an intermediate at the $350 mark? OTR only but with quality leather. Import even...

I have a Todd's XXL right now that I am sending back to Todd.
Here are the actual measurements:
Zip/storm flap - 22 1/4
Neck - 18 3/4
Back (across, at seam) - 20 1/4
Back length (bottom of colar stand to finish) - 26 1/4
Shoulder (at seam) - 8
Sleeve (from shoulder seam) - 25 1/2
Total sleeve length - ~36
Storm flap width - 1 1/2
Collar - 3 (to tip)
Pocket - 6 1/2 wide X 7 1/2 tall
On me (normally around 44L) this is VERY baggy in the upper body. Sleeve length is great, body length is too short.
I have no idea who could fit in this jacket! You'd have to be a thin bodied, short 46 or so in the chest. Then the sleeve would be too loong (but that is easy to fix).
Todd has some strange sizing going on....

I've just ordered a 2-XL, Todd's Standard. It is my understanding from the website that the back length on a 2-XL is 25 3/4. Normally, I like to order a longer Indy jacket, around the 27" to 27 1/2" inch range, (from the bottom of the collar stand to the end of the jacket) as a matter of preference. Recently, I tried on a 25" and it ended at about the belt level, and I'm not 6'3". I would think you might be better with a tall or a custom of someone else's offering? Just a thought. ;-)

Here's my XXL Todd's. I've had it almost two weeks. The "aging" you see I did over last weekend. I'm 6' 1", 200 lbs. Mine fits me great! The one criticism I have would be the sleeves are to narrow.

Yeah, I'm trying to solve this problem as cheaply as possible.
Regardless of the nay-sayers, the Todd's is an
excellent costume piece- which is what I wanted it for. I planned to distress it and use it as my costume jacket.
For normal wear, the ToD replica from Peter was to fill that bill (likley in Horse Hide) and be allowed to age naturally during every-day wear.
I am in discusion with a copule members who might have jackets for me, but dependant on what I end up paying, I may have to have only one jacket... Which means I cannot distress it much (if at all) as I need it to last for several years.
It is really too bad Tod doesn't offer a tall version of the standard. I'm sure I'm nt alone in my need for longer body length... But to get a Custom from Todd is just a bt over-priced (in my opinion)

I just received my Todd's jacket last night. As other members have stated, it is a true costume jacket. The leather is about half the weight of a Wested. It is well constructed, just light in weight. Alph was right when he said to get ready for the windbreaker effect. If this jacket were a pair of Levis, it would most likely be 501's, an (80's cut) slim fit. This jacket is not for someone who needs some roominess in the upper body, as you notice the absence of slack in that area. The hardware is ample, and buckles are not plastic!
Overall, my opinion is that the cut-off point in sizing for the 2-XL is right at a 46. If you wear anything larger than a 46, this jacket may not fit you comfortably.

I stopped by Todd's shop last month to try on the XXL standard size jacket. Almost
the same issues with me. Sleeve length: perfect. Body length: too short. Upper body
fit: too tight ( I'm 6'2" & a bit broad in the shoulders ). I was all set to pick one up too
( had the cash in my pocket ) - ended up getting a new strap for my MKVII, at least.

A tall standard a bit broader in the shoulders for me!
( unless Todd were to get
swamped with hundreds of requests for tall sizes, I don't think it'll happen.....nuts )
