My brand new (and newly altered) Wested Raiders Custom-HELP!

So I held off on sharing this at first because when I received it I had some immediate problems. It's a Wested Custom, 80's cut, Raiders style, in authentic brown lambskin. And just let me say, the leather is SO much nicer than I remember it. Maybe it's just me but the lambskin from an older Wested I once owned (back in 2004) was no where near as soft and supple! I can tell how nicely it's going to distress and drape.
When I initially received it the pleats were deeper than the ocean so I sent it back and asked for 1.25" deep and also had them switch the D-rings out for the rectangular sliders. Although it doesn't have the smaller zipper it's still pretty screen accurate as far as I can tell. Although I'm not a complete stickler so please no digital diatribes about the tiny details!
I would like to officially thank Wested (specifically Gemma) for their promptness and kindness with these alterations. I did not specify intitially about the pleats and they got it done and sent back within a week. A million thanks! Just in time for the fall!
I'm at work and although I realize ;0
I will post pics this evening, I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on fit and overall how it looks.
Cheers,
Aviv

How do I paste pics directly into my posting??
I don't have offsite image hosting how can I just do it from my desktop? I have a Mac, does that make it difficult? Sorry for the complete ignoramus question but I don't typically post pics so I'm not sure how

You need to have something like a photobucket album online. just go to a photo-hosting site and create an account:most of them are free, so why not? Once you have an account, you need to upload the picture (please check if it is within size limits for COW before you upload). The picture will show up in your own album there and probably have a number of codes on the same page. select the "IMG" code, copy it and paste it in your post.

I say get rid of the avatar as well. It's not very flattering to anyone (not even Ford) but Canyon.

It's actually very flattering to Ford you just need to see it close up! I swear! Just google "young harrison ford." You'll see.
Thanks jacksdad! I was suprised myself at the iphone photo capability.

So to get back on track.....are the black rectangular sliders more Raiders SA?? I'm not fully clear. Although I realize there are some debates on the SA action pleat depth I have come to my own conclusion that they were definitely 1.5" but most likely less. Looking at stills and watching the movie over and over those pleats really just open up when he moves and the crazy deep ones I intitially had definitely didn't look like that. More like wings.
I will post better shots tonight once I can corner my fiance into being my personal photographer.

I happened upon that pic years ago and thought about using it as a joke of some sort. But it was in bad taste, even for me.

Does anyone know how Wested measures the chest? My jacket (pictured above) is a 40. I measured the front from pit to pit and it was 23 inches. Does this make sense considering it is the 80s fit? My understanding was 2 inches of room in the 80s fit vs. 4 inches on a standard fit.
I THINK it fits just right and shouldn't be any snugger in the chest, although sometimes I think maybe I could have gone for a 38. Input? Thoughts? Help?
My constant scrutiny is driving me mad here...

Hey indyrocks, did you make sure the pleats were closed and laying flat when you measured? I am asking because I made that mistake the first time I measured my jacket which also resulted in numbers that were too big. Once I found out what I did wrong I measured again and everything was fine. Another easy mistake would be not zipping-up the jacket and laying it flat on a table before measuring, but I doubt that was the case here.
Normaly an 80's fit should only have 2" extra room and a standard fit 4". If everything was done corectly when you measured, the jacket should be a size 44 judging by what your results were.

Thanks Geert-I realized my problem was the seam I was measuring from. I was measuring too low under the arms and it wasn't until I put the jacket on and looked in the mirror that I realized where the chest measurement should be taken from. In light of this I realized that you're right! The jacket gives me about 2 inches on each side. PERFECT. I knew a 38 would be too small for my massive pectoral muscles......
