SCORE!!

Post by Darth Indiana »

I just got back from a local antique shop-one of the ones with actual ANTIQUES, not just assorted rusty stuff-where i found TWO nice old hats and as a bonus, they both FIT!
one is a blueish-grey color very close to Indy's traveling hat, and the other is a darker grey, more like Akubra's charcoal grey.
i can't seem to get a good shot of the darker grey one, so here's the lighter one. this is outdoors without a flash.

And the best bit? Nine dollars each. Image

Nice looking hat - who was the manufacturer of the hat? British or American?

Knox hats were good hats. And for 9 bucks a pop, you got a bargain!

It looks like it might have a Cavanagh edge, too. Good find(s)!

Very nice! Any idea how old they are? The narrower brim style suggests '50s, but that tall crown and larger ribbon says '30s or '40s to me. They remind me of the hat worn by Rocky the gangster in Bugs Bunny cartoons!
