Hello All

Ok I have a question I have a Camptown 1957 Legend on the way to me some time.

I'm looking at either a AB or AB deluxe next. I would like some input to decide should I go with the same colour again eg the normal indy fedora or a Sea Plane Gray.

Either way the hat will still be a AB right.

If you had the choice which way would you go a normal indy or sea plane gray and why.

mandatory brown ....as i don't wear many blue suits...er...any suits these days. too bad for my wife as i met her during my james bond phase.......she thought i was a pretty sharp dresser....but now she's stuck with me in these "dirty, dusty clothes"

but when in doubt......why not buy both AB's?

Those are some expensive pearls of wisdom there, Indiana G... but pearls of wisdom nonetheless...
(And given that your suggestion is ultimately MY plan, as well... I can hardly argue with ya...)

I have both and love them both. Grey is great for blue and black dress.

I have 2 brown AB's ( Raiders) and a sea plane grey AB. I have a ABD CS brown. I love them all. Anyway you go will be very pleased. Both gents make simple the best lids on the market.

Well I have 3 more sales that will be finished with in the month which would put me over the $900 mark in paypal.

Some of that was going to be funny money for the QM in Nov, but it could go towards new Fedora's right.

I would go with the brown 1st then in the future a gray...

Yeah, I'd go for brown first. Gray is nice, but brown is so...Indy... :junior: -M

You can never have enough brown Indy hats...Then you can get the grey...
(At this moment I'm replacing the linner and bow of my brown hat, so I'm wearing my grey -and I must admit, now I'm using it, I'm apprecianting it much more than before- but I can't wait to have my brown hat back...)

sold a few ebay items still a few more to go but now I have enough dough for 2 AB's

should I do a AB deluxe from Marc (brown) and a Sea plane gray from Steve or both from Steve ( brown and grey) and get Marc's version later?

input guys let me know your ideas please

Either way you go you wont go wrong. I would get your day to day Indy lid from Marc and your dress one from Steve.

I'd do the same than Oak...

The reason I went this way is because both will stand up better to any hat out there in all kinds of weather but the edge would go to Marc's felt.

Both make the best hats on the market in my book.
