Has anyone checked these out?

I've been curious about them - but I find that the sizing on things I have bought from WPG is all over the map - with that in mind I have some great finds from them.

My understanding from talking with someone who owns a pair is that the WPG pinks are based off the pattern
without pocket flaps. I was finally glad to have figured that out, because I've never had a favourable experience with trying to ask WPG questions about their products. If they don't have a picture of it on their website, forget asking. The only answers they seemed content in giving me were along the lines of "trust us, simply because folks have purchased from us before." Sorry, no dice. If your customer service before a sale is that "good," I can only imagine what it must be like after the sale.
They don't get my business.
Another thing worth noting is that Officer Pinks were flat front, not pleated, and that some were button fly, while others had zippers. Personally, I prefer the flat front pinks. I like my gear to be what Indy would've likely worn, and it's been widely believed that he would've worn surplus pinks. If you check out eBay auctions, you can find pinks up there frequently enough. If you have a thin waist, you can find some pretty good deals on originals, but if you need anything close to a 36 or above, they go for a premium.

I asked if they had something in stock once and I got a very curt and abrasive response.

Yep. Sounds like the same treatment I got. I politely told them I'd like to see a picture of their pinks, since I don't make such purchases without seeing the product, and because I was very specific in what I was looking for. They pretty much ignored that request and gave me the whole "everyone else buys them" schtick.
Like I said, they don't deserve my business.

WPG seems to be very bothered about answering what they consider to be "stupid questions". Their web site as much as indicates that very view point.
I'm not knocking their merchandise. Most of the stuff I've purchased from them in the past is OK, but his web site demeanor has alot to be desired.

Maybe so, but I don't see asking for images of products not pictured on their website to be a stupid question.
I find that to be common sense. And when that failed and I asked about pocket flaps (being a major selling point for me) they never even answered that question. Turns out their pinks DON'T have flaps. I found this out later from someone who happened to own a pair, and long after I found something much better and cheaper elsewhere.
Knowing BASIC information up front saves a customer from returning a product that doesn't fit the bill and from wasting money due to having to eat the shipping costs. Is it stupid to ask a car salesman to test drive a car before buying it? Would you buy something off eBay sight unseen? It seems to me that WPG is just too stuck up and arrogant to answer ANY question, so they deem them all "stupid." Now THAT is the definition of stupid. You're right, Andy, is web service does leave a lot to be desired. Like I said, they don't deserve my business. Buyer beware.

It seems that Peter from Wested has a pair of Noel's screen used pants to use to update his patterns, and I just learned today he also has the old stock from Noel that I imagine he will have on offer soon...

Bink,
I sure hope you didn't misunderstand what I was getting at. To clarify, I was merely pointing out the rude tone of WPGs web site, which indicates they are "to busy" to be bothered answering questions from their potential customers. I'm in agreement with you. As we say in the Army, "The only stupid question is the one never asked".
Cheers,
Andy

I would say Jerry's attitude with WPG is "surly"
I have had some great finds from there - like a 1943 dated pair of size 13 ammo boots (never worn) - the leather needed some care, but the are great.
I have had some bad finds - but Jerry has taken those back without question if I didn't like things. He's always been good to deal with -once you get used to his approach to customer service.
Simply my own experiences.

wearp, no worries. We're on the same page.
I don't doubt that folks have gotten some good stuff from WPG, it's just my personal experience with them resulted in me never wanting to give them my money. I'll gladly pay more for exceptional customer service.
Anyhow, back to the topic, does anyone have any pics of WPG pinks? If so, share them here so folks can see what they look like!

Um, g, did you
mean to post a pic of a pink tent?
DR Ulloa, pinks won't be SA anyhow since they are flat front and should have a watch pocket. Indy's pants were pleated and didn't have the watch pocket.
