What happened to the Christys' thread? I mean, I know what happened to it, but honestly... While a spot of nastiness or two did ensue, it was an excellent thread due in large part to the fact that it was polarizing. It was one of the few threads where there was a large camp pulling for something that's not part of the currently accepted norm ( and what Red-Blooded-American hasn't lamented the 2 party system? ).
Couple this with the fact that we're starting to see Christys' posted that have seen some action and how they're holding up, and several others who'd ordered and hadn't had a chance to post. The thread had some good pics and advice, and in my case, a couple of questions that were still left hanging.
Again, I know why it's gone, but it stinks of - what else can I say - censorship, when the whole thread disappears. In fact, I'll go so far as to say it sounds like an idea advanced is being suppressed. Maybe some of the more abbrasive parts of the original thread could be edited ( if that MUST be done ) but I can't believe the whole thing needs to be purged.

As I understand it, it was done per request of the initiator of the tread. He requested that all of his posts and threads be deleted.

As I recall:
-Suspended, then asked to be cut
-Mods renamed said member
-Mods stated on this thread they were considering
purging said member's posts all together ( which is, well I'm
not a Mod, and I'm sure it's a thankless job for the most part,
but it's silly, in my opinion, since said member's name is in
about a zillion posts...)
My remarks were included in that thread, as were several several others. Good pics, good questions, good discussion... I just think it was one of two things: 1) the option I hope - simply a rash decision or, 2) someone just plum didn't agree with what was generally being said in the thread ( and some clearly didn't ) and it was cut. I dodn't want to fall into the "wingnut" camp, but hey, faves ARE played here, which is fine; it is a club, after all. I'm just asking for some consideration for those who had invested in the thread beyond it's originator and his major detractor.
