Club Obi Wan

Here's my son in his Indy stuff. He loves wearing the clothes and won't leave the house without his hat. We play Indy at least once a day, sometimes on the weekends we're outside play fighting all day. He always gets to be Indy.

-Dorfman Pacific crushable wool hat
-Shirt by me
-Bag strap- vintage Mosin-Nagant rifle sling
-Bag, highly modified Magnoli replica
-Pants, Arizona brand from J.C. Penny's
-Belt- Todd's with aged buckle.
-Whip- Sound FX whip that plays whip sounds and the Indy theme
-Pistol- It was an orange kids cap gun that I painted up for him.

He also has a map room brush I made for him, a Raiders journal I made for him, an old magnifying glass, compass and pencils in his MK VII.

ha ha! that's totally awesome jared playing indy with him must be fun......so are you the german mechanic and he gets to whoop your butt daily?

It's great to see people's kids not only dressing as Indy but insisting on playing as him as well.

that's awsome, my son is seven too, he's not into Indy quite yet but loves star wars, we have a light sabeer duel everyday. Kids are great and he's the best thing to ever happen to me. Your son's gear is so cool,I'll show my little guys see if I can get him into Indy as well. sometimes it's just seeing another kid in a certain role and then he picks up on it.

Two thumbs up!! I love the fact that so many small children are getting the Indy "bug". My son will be five this fall and has the bug as well.

And by the way Mechanic, my son still wants to know where he can get an Indy shirt like your son has. This shirt would go great with his US Wings Kids Adventurer.

Do a search for the thread I did all about the shirt. It was a Boy Scout shirt that I did alot of mods to. I made one for Bending Oaks son too.

If that's the case, then you might even have to replace the hat soon as well. Ah...kids.

The hat's actually big on him so he'll get lots more wear out of it.

Are you open to making more shirts? What might you charge?
It looks great and I'd love to give one to my boy.

Or if you're making a new one, what size is the old one? Some of us might be willing to take it off your hands;)

I sold my spare to Bending Oak for his son.
I'm having a really hard time finding the older style Boy Scout shirts in those small sizes.
The prices on those shirts can be anywhere up to $20.00 each (if you can find one.)
Then it takes me a couple hours to deconstruct and reconstruct the shirt.
If I could find another shirt it would probably be something like $40.00 to make one up.

It never ceases to amaze me how wonderfull children can be. Reminds me why I got a job as a teacher in the first place. Kids are so much more fun than adults...

I have a six-year-old who is looking to Indy-up as well...we have a hat and a cool realistic-ish whip so far.

What a fan... starting early huh??? Great costume !!

That's about the coolist thing I've ever seen. It reminds me of my old days in the back yard. lol, the funniest memory that comes to mind is that my mom had this handed down really old pocket bible that was bound by leather, really worn. I was always sneaking it out and pretending it was the Grail Diary. lol, luckily It wasn't ever harmed. I was a trouble maker.

That's what my son says too, "he's naked". I'm like "No, he just doesn't have a shirt on" and my son insists "he's naked".
