How Many? Confessions please
I sure this has been done before but how many jackets do you have?
Me? 2 both Wested. a HH LC custom made and a new OTR goat. I love both and know that they will last. I gave a Wested lamb to my cousion to make room for the goat. Now I am stuggling to resist Peter's limited edition washed lamb. A bad case of jacket addiction is coming on?
Like Holt my aim was to end up with two. I thought I was done until the washed lamb came up.
So confessions please. I know Falco has the bug. I think we have all tracked Holt's jacket adventures and that some have two TNs.

I have a wested lamb that's at least a size too big that I got second hand. I love it! However, as it is too big, and a bit lamb-y, I'm eventually going to get a second jacket, most likely goatskin or cowhide, and preferably one that will fit better. I'm thinking I'm going to go US Wings. But for now, I can safely say I own one Wested Raiders Lamb

Blues,
This is how it starts! You already have the early symtoms. My first jacket was a wested lamb. I loved it. With more time on COW I went the for HH for the winter. Then I realised that the fit of the lamb was not quite right. The goat fixed that problem.
and this is where I came in. I miss the lamb jacket
I feel I should be going to an AA meeting. " Hello, my name is Christian and I am an addict. I have not bought a new indy jacket for six months now. It's one day and a time"

I Don't think I'll be getting too many more indy jackets, IndyBrit, as while I like indy's jacket, I don't think I need too many in that style. Now other jackets, yes, there will be many more in my future They just won't necessarily be indy jackets.
And Indiana G, just tell her how lucky she is to be unique, and not like every other woman out there who has too much closet space

Personally I own three Indy leather jackets, the third arrived today. One Todd standard, one Wested OTR, this one is for sale, and one Wested Novapelle. I also own a black leather lamb jacket.

Wow, there's some people with a lot of jackets here! I have 3 IJ jackets myself. I do have a very large jacket and coat collection, for me it is anyway, 50+ various leather, leather/wool varsity, long, mid, etc and they're all for the most part distinctly different from either other. I feel bad that I don't wear some of them more. Three jackets in basically the same style is something I never thought I would do but something about this place...it's contagious! I do think that they TN will legitimately be the last of the Indy jackets for me. It's easily the most well made out of any that I've ever seen and truly is, as other have said, built like a tank.

Wow, is that the truth! My first jacket was a Wested Lamb. I obsessed over minutiae with it until I convinced myself it didn't fit right, wasn't going to be durable enough, etc, so I bought a Wested in pre distressed cowhide. A great jacket, but I always wanted a Wings jacket, so I bought one in goatskin. Then Todd Coyle made what was to my eyes the ultimate Raiders jacket, one that had all the details that were missing in all my other jackets, so "quest complete" in that department!IndyBrit wrote:Blues,

Now, I'm looking at my old Wested Lamb, completely satisfied with the fit and durability, admiring the worn patina and character it has aquired over the years, ready to send it off to Peter for a new lining so I can wear it again. Full circle man, and I would not part with ANY of my jackets!
I think that at four jackets I'm finally done. Then again, though Todd finally put an end to my Raiders jacket obsession, there are possibilities for new ToD jacket designs in the works, and Magnoli's look incredible!
Maybe I'm not done!

So far?
1.) Wested Authentic Lamb LC (LC Design from early 2007)
2.) Wested Worn-Look Lambskin RoLA (one of the first 10 jackets of what eventually became the Raiders 'specials')
3.) Wested Veg-Tanned Lambskin LC/KotCS (KotCS specs were self-guesstimated from the trailer)
4.) Wested Novapelle LC/KotCS (slightly improved self-guesstimated specs from #3)
5.) Nowak Ford-Measurements, Heavily Distressed
6.) Nowak Own-Measurements, Heavily Distressed
7.) Nowak Own-Measurements, Lightly Distressed
8.) Nowak Own-Measurements, Shia-Biker-Jacket

I've got 5... only 2 of them are really wearable though..
2 Westeds,
2 US Wings CE
1 Tony Nowak
The first Wested is too small and really beat up
The second Wested is too small and only worn once
The first US Wings jacket I ruined but keep for bummin' around
Leaving the second US Wings jacket and Tony Nowak as the only 2 that are both the right size, and in good condition.

Unless you're planning on saving it as a family heirloom, why not sell it on the Cairo Bazaar and use what's left to get a proper fitting Wested?TheChimp wrote:I've got 5... only 2 of them are really wearable though..

If the glove fits, wear it. If it doesn't, sell it.

I meant three Nowak Indy's as I didn't know what the Mutt jacket cost - but I do know the Indy is $700 + ....Indiana Strones wrote:FOUR Nowaks...bobjones wrote:THREE Nowaks? Two jackets: 1 Wested Raiders authentic brown goat, one Nowak with my specs. Both fit very well, although it's interesting that the Nowak is a bit looser and baggier, meaning that whenever I put on my Wested it inevitably feels weird by comparison.
$670 actually (though with shipping it comes out to around $700). But still...4 NOWAKS?! I just want to ask you this, Castor...how many mortgages do you have on your home? :junior: -MI meant three Nowak Indy's as I didn't know what the Mutt jacket cost - but I do know the Indy is $700 + ....

I've got just 2. A Disneyland Cooper Indy Jacket made with distressed finish leather, and a Wested Raiders jacket made of cowhide - undistressed. I have to thank Peter for making the pocket size custom for me. Years ago, I tried on one of the Wested jackets, and could not get my hands in the 'handwarmer' pockets. So I waited, then ordered one with the larger 'Cooper'? sized pockets. I love this jacket, and I do not plan on distressing it.
By the way, the Disney Cooper jacket has seen better days. While I can still wear it, it is not going to last much longer.

After 3 Rotla orders have only 1 off the rack Wested.
With great disappointment I must say I still do not have an SA jacket.
My 4th order was lost in the mail. Wested say they never received it.
The envelop I sent included good quality 5 gauge nickel zipper, 2 extremely hard to find black SA triglide buckles, and my ultimate SA list of specs.
I will send my 5th order when I find replacement buckles.

You have me intrigued sir.0 jackets for me. After all these years, I'm still making my mind up on what would be the most SA Raiders option.
1. How many years is "all these years"?
2. Have you narrowed it down to a couple of contenders? Who would those be?
3. You haven't seen ANYTHING that would do it for you?
I ask because the members on this forum are as fantatical as any I've seen regarding Indy jackets. Debate always rages on what's more screen accurate, but it seems like just about everybody has at least one jacket, regardless of whether they think it's dead accurate.
Personally, I think it's nigh impossible to get true "screen accuracy" in a new jacket. That's where break-in and life steps in.

Well, I've been knocking around these parts since the days of Indyfan.com. And I've wanted the jacket since I was about thirteen. But I never wanted to have a whole wardrobe full of Indy jackets. Just one will be fine. Trouble is, there seem to be too many choices, as nothing entirely hits the nail on the head. I'm a bit obsessive about details, and I don't want to get one and then start noticing mistakes on it. It'd drive me crazy.
The Todd's jackets seem to be best for Raiders SA, but I guess I'm just patiently holding out to see if anything else comes up. Being in the UK, my dearest wish is that Wested comes up with the goods. They do seem to be gradually improving. I just don't get why they can't simply hit the nail on the head and be done with it. It's frustrating, as though they choose to deliberately miss the target by a little each time to keep people coming back for more. Although I'm sure that's not really the case.
