After hearing rave reviews about Steve Huntress' whips he made for Chris Camp and then TheFish.... I figured I might as well try one out.
Its made to the same specs as Dan's whip that received alot of praise at AOD.....
Ive been eagerly looking forward to this..... the only difference is the colors, i went with a two tone black and dark green (i like these colors )
anyway, Until i get the whip in hand, heres some pics Steve sent me of the finished whip!
The handle (check out that freakin pattern!)
Knots!!!!

I had the chance to crack one of Steve's bullwhips which is owned by "The Fish" and I would have to say that these are really nice whips, to me they handle pretty close to a roo hide bullwhip. In my opinion he does really nice work. I wouldn't mind owning one myself, and I have been thinking about it.
You will not be let down!
I love mine!
its about a year old now.
Great fluid whip.
10" handle, 16 plait.
Perfect for target cracking.
I went with Steve because winter was right around the corner and the other nylon makers out there had a year lead time...I was really surprised at how great the whip was for the price. Quite a bang for the buck! If I wasn't so hard pressed for cash currently, I'd have a 14fter on order!

Just got her in today!
WOW!
Everything I have heard Dan, Paul, Lauren and Chris say about these whips is SPOT ON!
it really DOES handle like a roo whip!
The flex of the thong is VERY consistent and no odd flex points at the strand drops...
the thong is also VERY consistently tight ALL the way out. even the part of the thong nearest the fall hitch is rock hard.
I had Steve make this one just like the one he made for Dan therefore it has the SUPER duper long fall on it. I MIGHT shorten it, but Dan says he uses it for wraps, so i tried it and ... YUp! works good for that, so i might leave it!
The thong is very stiff at the transtion area... good flex there, and even though its a 10" handled whip, it handles like a longer handled one...
I just went thru the basic cracks with it and it does everything really well.
Ill say this.... if you cant get a Roo hide whip, forget getting a cowhide and get one of these nylon whips from Steve Huntress!!!
His plaiting is SUPER tight...
Ill get to crack it more later, and will surely post vidoes...
for now.... pics:
