looks pretty much like a Mkvii to me(but im no expert), except for that button down pocket inside, and the way it has that 1 divider in the middle. could be a mkvi, but i cant verify that.

Could be an MK vi but I'm not sure. Looks good and old though. That and a Keppler strap, boom, you've got a satchel.

It's a MK-VII because a MK-VI only has 3 pockets inside the main flap, and that one has five. Also I've seen MK-VII's & MK-VI's with 1, 2 and 3 drain holes. You can also tell it's a VII because on the 1st pic on the page, you can kinda see the metalic disk on the side of the bag, and only MK-VII's have them. hope this helps.

Wel l if you do get it I suggest using paint thinner or acitone to remove the name inside.
Then rince with water.

I've done that with a flight suit and it removed the ink quickly.

From the color, the snap pocket, the D-rings, and the barely visible Canadian Broadarrow, I'd say it was a Canadian MK-VII.

I'd agree. It definitely looks Canadian. I bought 3 of those from a company in Australia a year or so ago for $60.00 shipped. Sold them for about $100. Not to bad a profit.

It's a MKVI bag, I've got one from the Roadster Factory before they ran out. The inside snap pocket and single drain are the only differences. I prefer my MKVI to the MK7. The one in the auction looks pretty well used, but might wash up OK.

I'ld say mk-vii. didn't the mk-vi have clips on the strap rather than it being stitch on?

Yes, I did end up winning. I'll get the money order out soon. Then when I get back from vacation I can take some better pictures and we can finally decide. Maybe there are other marks though. Who knows?

Nice find. Lee Keppler has a MKVII with the small inside pocket that snaps. It's very cool.

This is definitely NOT a MKVI. The MKVI has 2 small D-rings on the front, which the MKVII doesn't. In addition, the MKVI has 2 large vertical pockets with snaps on the back of the bag.

Check it out, this one is from my collection:
