i already put this photo up on the Schultz thread, but it was small, and contrary to what Yoda says, size matters
Speaking of which, my Russell Schultz indy whip is now down to a comfy cozy eight feet six inches, and its cracking better than ever. Use the magnifying thingy to enhance the size further, and check out those braids.
Your's showing off,

Gorgeous! How long have you had it, and how long did it used to be?

Thanks Canuck and Weston!
I got 'er around October 2006. She was a full ten footer when she first arrived.
I ordered the whip from Western Stage Props, and I forgot to specify a Strain, but I did get a real nice Indy whip, and apart from it's fragility at the point (being an eight strand hitch) I couldn't be happier.
I trained myself in the "Cairo Flash" school of cracking, and that unfortunately does not suit this whip very well at all. I have since learned to be kinder and gentler with it, letting the kinetic energy speak for itself. Which is to say, I don't muscle it nearly as much, and we've been getting along great ever since. You should've seen the point where the fall hitch used to be at its full ten foot length. It was darn near microscopic!
