For you hatmakers out there, I am seriously considering trying to make my own hat. When I order a raw fur felt hat body, do I get one that is a capeline or a hood? I am trying to make an Indy Jones fedora. I assume it is the capeline style, but I just wanted to make sure. Also, what do you guys think of plastic hat blocks? I found a website that sells one that would fit the Indy fedora perfectly. The block is called the straight sided dome. Here is the link:

Actually, there's a possibility that someone from here worked with the hatshaper guys to make that block. I know someone in the past has considered that brand, before they offered that, and I seem to remember them trying to work out a deal....
