I just noticed in the photo on the "Remove sweat from the liner" topic the name "Federation IV" is clearly visible on the inside.
Mine just says "Federation".

I bought it under the impression it was a IV, but does this mean it's a III??

I purchased the fed IV standard as well and my hat simply states Federation. My early guess is that the standard hats state Federation while the deluxe models state Federation IV.

Ok....so who's got a Fed III, and what does it say on the inside??

I have one of the first standard Fed IV (April), and the sweatband says just "Federation", like the old Fed III. I think they added "IV" in the second wave.

The first batch of Fed 4's came through without the IV added - if you ordered a Fed 4 that is what was sent. The IV was added from the second batch.

It was a simple oversight at the factory partly due to the rush in getting them out prior to the movie. To send them back for re stamping would have been a 3 week delay.
