Thank you!

I think that dry cleaning could be a solution, but you would need to wait more until it's realy dirty.

Or one of the other whitening/stain-removing products. Just be sure to take the liner out of the hat first!

Ha looks just like mine! My goal is to have it sweat through to the outside and and then apply the fuller's earth.

That's definitely a trait of the Fed line. The leather sweat is not as wide as most.
AC, I'd definitely disappoint you, as my hats do not get these stains, and I wear them all the time.....with the exception of my Feds, that is.
They DO stain if worn in conditions that I perspire a lot. If that type situation exists, I wear something cooler.
The AB's, PB's and Camptowns in my collection have never had this problem as their sweat bands are quite a bit wider than the Akubra line.
The only thing I know that works is to replace the liner if this is a problem to you. Considering how easy they are to replace, the cost of trying have them professionally cleaned makes no sense, as well as the possibility they won't just fall apart if it's tried.
In your case, the liner has done exactly what it was designed to do....keep your perspiration from going into the felt, so it's actually done it's job.

And besides that, the liner doesn't really have to look nice. If it did, it'd be on the outside of the hat where people could see it!

I like new lids, but i don't, if you get my meaning. I want them to look well loved, and a little yellow in the liner is a start.
For a helpful and serious answer...

My Fed IV liner has been soaked through with sweat on some really hot days of hiking here in South Carolina. After drying, my liner has a faint sweat line, but nothing too drastic. It doesn't bother me though... natural distressing at its best!
