new whip

Hi,
this is my latest whip. I made him using louie's hints about indy style bullwhip. 8 ft, 12 plait, natural tan 'roo hide.
I hope that it can be named as a "indy" whip.

Is there any particular reason you do a checkerboard plait at the point of the whip?

Louie,
I believe that Bernie at EM-Brand whips also does it, and it's to strengthen the last couple of inches of the thong...

Hi,
in the past, I had some problems with to much looseness of plait at the end. After some time of cracking the end of the thong was going to looks like a bit unbraid, and you can also notice core inside of it. It was very irritating to me. So I begin to plait checkboard. It has much more tensile strenght.

Hello to everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know, that I am now the proud owner of this particular whip, and I couldn't be happier!
It has the look and feel of the Indy whip, with a few VERY MINOR differences.
I wanted a "costume whip", but was perfectly willing to get a "real" whip if the price was compareable.
Well, Kescien came through with this one! The color is great, the feel is great. The brading is smoth and tight. I have no idea what I am doing with a whip, but I still managed to crack it a few times. So, with that said, I think it is safe to say it is an easy to crack whip!
For SA Perfection, I might make the wrist strap slightly wider/longer. And, if I was ordering one made to order, I might go up to 10 feet length. (even though the jury is out for me on SA length) That's about it really!
If you want a VERY nice whip for a VERY reasonable price (particularly if you are in europe) you owe it to yourself to check these out!
I am very happy with this purchase!!!
