to all who have bought the fed iv did you get the standard or deluxe?
is the standard good quality? and how long did it take to get your shipment if you ordered from hatsdirect?

I ordered the Fed IV stnd. I am extremely happy with it. I really cannot give a fair comparison to other "premium" hats on the market as my only other hat is DP wool felt that is 14 years old.

I do love my Fed IV and can state that it arrived faster than any of the other gear I ordered in the same time frame. HatsDirect shipped my hat to my home in less than 7 days.

I'll echo scot2525. I have a brown Fed IV standard which arrived at my house in about 10 days. I was impressed enough that I ordered a carbon grey within two weeks of receiving the brown one.

I bought the standard. This is my first real hat (i.e., not a cheap wool felt hat) so I have no real basis for comparison to the deluxe or other fur felt hats. I can say I am 100% satisfied with my hat and the service I received from Hats Direct; received a confirmation e-mail from them the day after I placed my order, and received my hat nine days later (Australia to Southern California). The fit was slightly loose out of the box (very slightly), but it snugged up to a perfect fit in less than a week. The crown bashed easily without water or steam (my first bash ever, and I got the look I wanted on the first try). The brim has taken a bit more effort, but it's getting there; I'm sure someone with more experience in bashing hats would have no trouble whatsoever.

Considering the price, the service I received, and the quality of the hat, I'd recommend it to anyone.

i have the standard and trust me its a perfect hat! it will last you a long time,well worth the money and the service is great. im in the uk and it took mine 9 days to arrive which is stunning service

My standard Federation 1V is superb, once again it arrived within a few days of me placing my order.

Stanard for me too. Great overall hat, price and quality is excellent. Shipped to me within 10 days after ordering. Have worn it on many occasions, friends refer to it as "The Hat".

well i ordered one on friday but have yet to see an email but they did debt my account so im hoping on seeing it in the next couple of weeks

A1 service IMHO, I ordered two on a Wednesday, and they arrived on the following Tuesday

Standard for me too...and I've very happy with it. My 'deluxe' hat will be my AB....whenever it arrives.
