Photos of OTR Wested washed goat?

Post by delfloria »

Thinking about getting a Wested OTR washed goat LC jacket and was looking for feedback or detailed photos from owners. The few photos posted by COW members and the Wested website are so different from each other it's impossible to tell what the washed goat is really like. Thanks.

I have a Wested washed goat (Up for auction on Ebay, BTW). Great jacket!.....thin, durable, and the color is classic Raiders. The leather has a much different look and texture to it than a typical goat.....it's much softer, smoother, and has slightly more wrinkle to it (a great "vintage" look to it)......it almost looks more similar to lamb than actual goat. Out-of-the-box, it feels great.....compared to other new jackets, the washed goat arrives already broken-in. If you're looking for a Indy jacket to wear on cool, summer nights or in the fall, I highly recommend the washed goat. (Just remember, the OTR washed goat is made in India).

Thanks,

Took a look. It appears to be much darker and less mottled than the photos at the Wested web site. Which is more accurate to the real look of the jacket? Have you got any close up shots of the leather itself?

Rats, too bad your jacket is too big for me.

....it's only slightly darker than the "seal brown" of typical Wested's Raiders jackets and it has a little more wrinkles and distressing on it than the standard goatskin jacket. There are numerous threads in this forum (some with photos) that I and others have posted in the last several weeks regarding the washed goat. Do a search. Good luck.
