Alden's going back for tongue repair

Alas....the Alden boots I got back in March are going to have to be repaired. I believe the tongue of the right boot was sewn in crooked. I know that's a very obvious error but I only noticed it because -- when you pull the tongue straight -- the tongue had wrinkles in it as though it was being pulled at a diagonal.

So, after a few months of wearing them -- and pulling the tongue straight -- the tongue has started to come unsewn from the inside of the boot. :(

Anyone ever sent back a pair of Aldens for repair?

My shoes are likely from that same batch as I got mine towards the end of March. I always thought it was part of the infamous issue of the tongues requiring a stitch to hold them in place.

But there is a noticeable tilt to the tongue on only the right boot, the left boot doesn't suffer at all.

My boots have been like that since day one which was at least 6 years ago. I just straighten the tongue out and re-tie them although it is annoying. I did send this same pair back to Alden in 2004 for refurbishing but they sent them back with a note telling me that they were beyond repair. The last time I checked, it costs $125.00 for the refurbishing.
