For those of you who have worn cowhide and goatskin jackets, how much heavier is the cow than the goat? Also, how much warmer is the cow than the goat? Does anyone have any comparisons of the two leathers? Thanks.

I, personally, feel the cow is heavier in weight. I have the Pre-distressed cowhide; so I don't know if that'd make a difference. In terms of keeping you warm, they both do the job, but what really draws me to the goat is that it keeps me warm enough in cold weather and it's not as hot as the my pd-cow in milder climates.

I have worn both, and I feel, personally, that if you put on one of em' biker jackets on (with all of the zippers n' such...) you can get a fairly good idea of how the Wested New Finish Cowhide feels like...considering that both of the jackets are cowhide. Goat is a comfortable jacket too. To me, it feels as if it is "slightly" heavier than the traditional lambskin, but yet thin and durable.
Hope this helps some.....
