I went through the EXACT same predicament last summer, and I mean exact. I was 15, broke, and no businesses were willing to hire a 15 year old. And I really wanted a MKVII too. Well, this is what I did...I did whatever I could for some cash whether it be save up all of my allowance (which isn't at all that much) and mowed the lawn for an addtional charge to my parents. Needless to say, I can be very convincing without being unreasonable.JoshAmongo wrote:cause some people don't have a job because they are not old enough
I need one because there are so cool
and I would like to find a cheap one
One thing I can say from experience is don't settle for a bag that is less than the real thing. You can get a relatively cheap vintage MKVII bag from Endicott's. The USD is weak so if Kevin is still offering a bag at 15.95 GBP it would be around $31...and I think that includes shipping too if it hasn't changed. Check it out at www.endicotts.co.uk
Dont stop believin'!

For what it's worth, this bag can be adapted for use as an adventure bag.

It's not going to give you the same look as the MkVII, and will take additional sourcing for the strap and hardware, but maybe the price is right. It was for me.
