Noel Howard shirt...

Post by Texan Scott »

Your expert advice is needed...Is it still possible to get a Noel Howard reproduction shirt? I'm interested in ordering a faithful reproduction of the 'Raiders' shirt with thin material, and the taupe-gray tinted pants. Is there a maker you could recommend? Thanks!

Peter and Noel's right hand man Lee are trying to decide if they should offer Noel's gear through Wested Leather in memory of the late Mr.Howard. I think that's a great idea, and will keep the gear within the family so to speak.

All the best,
Stefan

well if you need an NH shirt now, then my suggestion is to pay alot of attention to the marketplace, maby one will turn up......I think you will have to whait a long while before you or anyone can get one from Peter via wested.....if you can get one...

it is not 100% for sure that peter is going to offer the NH gear...this is just all still in the air...

I think Peter and Lee have enough to do with cleaning out his house and workshop along with his family first and then take care of all the orders people ordered before Noel Howard deceased..

after that maby Peter will offer NH gear thru wested.

It would be nice to think that in future Wested could be permitted to offer exact pattern clothing from NH, when the backlog of all original NH products has been sold.

Keeping the legacy of NH alive, perhaps becoming a joint Wested / NH signature line, but with accessible prices to fans.

Africa Jones,I had the same thought exactly!! If only Peter would use the same patterns that N.H. used to use.

I don't think Peter has any problem to use the patterns.
The problem is that I think there is no tailor capable (or wanting) of duplicating the shirt. The pants will not be a problem in the legs, but the upper part maybe cannot be copied.

Part of me says no, that ship has sailed.

Another part of me wants everyone here to have the best Indy shirt apart from the Dometakis screen one, which, IMHO Noel made.

I feel that Peter wants to let a respectable amount of time pass before pursuing this avenue. If at all.

Can we hold off speculation until then, please?
