Shrinking / Stretching a leather jacket

Question for people that are smarter than me. :)

I got my TN jacket today, and it's not a perfect fit. Close, but not there. I may have to go back to Tony and see what can be done. I feel bad doing that, because we went off my measurements. (I swear, I just have the worst luck ordering jackets. 3 jackets, 0 fit right.)

Anyway, the sleeves are too long and the chest is too tight. I've heard of people shrinking the sleeves themselves. Leather should expand and fit a bit better with use, so maybe that will take care of the chest.

But I guess the question is, what is a reasonable expectation of shrink / stretch if I just stuck with the jacket as is?

Thanks,

- John

I'd go back to Tony. If you try something and it doesn't work, you're out of luck getting satisfaction from the maker.

Thanks, I just got off the phone with him. I ideally wanted to avoid that, since we used the measurements I took from my suit jacket, and they (of course, with my luck) were wrong. <sigh> Well, the good news is, I'm going to drive up to LA and we're going to work something out.

Thanks for advice; mods can close this thread.
