Here it is, right out of the box. Gibson & Barnes Expedition in dark brown Goat. Size 42 R.
I like it. It's exactly what I was looking for, some screen accuracy with really tough materials & craftsmanship. Should stand up to some heavy use.

That looks great!!!

The leather looks almost black in the photos though. Is it the standard Dark Brown?

It is the standard dark brown. It is very dark but not as dark as it appears in these pictures. Probably because I had to tweak the contrast as the pics were all washed out.
Thanks.

The pocket flaps are perfect as well. There seems to be some inconsistencies as to whether you get one that is scalloped or "triangular". Good job!

That's an awesome looking jacket! Now you need to have someone pull you behind their truck, dodge some machine gunfire, outrun a boulder and take a swim with it and you'll be on your way to total screen accuracy! The fit looks great!

Looking forward to breaking this baby in. I think it's up to the challenge.
Thanks for the comments.

How tall are you... out of interest. I ordered a 42T and am 6'1" and fairly skinny at 180lbs. That 42R seems to fit you pretty perfectly...

I'm 5'10" and weigh about 168-170, somewhere around there.

I'm glad I got the cool pocket flaps too. :D

From those photos, it looks IDENTICAL to my Black cowhide Wested Raiders jacket (which I'm selling BTW :) )

It may look the same but I bet the G&B is better quality - stitching/lining, etc. I have a G&B and a Wested...

I don't get it... I'm 6' and weigh 190, and I got a G&B 40R... but it looks like both our jackets fit us perfectly.

I could have probably fit into a 40 but I think it would have been a little tight as my chest is a dead on 42". I like the cut of this jacket as it will allow me to wear a couple layers under it in colder weather.

That's a fine looking jacket! That goat may not actually be able to stop a bllet, but it will make you believe that it could.

Looks great, man. Just like mine. I note how people forget that one size can fit many types of height and build. People think that sizing is a science - it's an artform. My 42T fits me like it was tailored; I'm 6 feet 1.5 and 180 pounds. It also fits my freind the same way and he is 5 feet 10 and 195 pounds. It's not the height and weight, its the proportions which make the fit.
