Indys Raiders Pocket knife

I love Knives and any chance to get a new one CANT be passed up

so has it ever been POSITIVELY identified?
Im not talking about a close enough, i mean THE actual make/model etc?
Im sure its something circa 1970/80s and production... i doubt its a custom one off......
anyway...
whats known about it?

How about this?

The whole deal with the ones that I was selling was that they were more screen accurate than then ones you would get from www.knifeshop.com. They were a direct from Germany( I have a contact at the factory) and were picked out of a lot of over 100 I believe...for screen accuracy. I took the most screen accurate one out of the 20 I got for myself though.

Its the 12300hh00 model Hubertus hunting lock back knife. Great for eating steak with.

The stag model has been made since 1903, possibly earlier. (unchanged)

Stag Version

They also make a plastic handled version which is considerably cheaper.

I'm actually working on an article for the main page right now, about the raiders knife, where to get it etc, but I will be away, so it wont be up till July.

If theres enough Interest I'll see if I can do this run again. The previous run was 90$ shipped, but I'm sure with the world how it is, the cost would be higher now. The first run was done 2004-2005.

SA or not, that is WAAAAAAY expensive for a pocketknife. I'll bet there are some others out there that look close and are a small fraction of the price - I'm going to have to search.

Well, I had the opportunity to change my staghorn knife for a defect. The replacement knife had a slightly different look, it may vary with the staghorn used. BTW, Hubertus has a very good service!

Its actually a good price for a pocket knife of this caliber.
I can think of plenty of other pocket knives that cost WAY more than this one, that are just as good.

none look like this knife. I've looked already.
The design is completely unique.

Tons and tons of time was put into researching this knife.....you will not find one closer.

That plastic handled one is about the same price as an average Case knife. I work at a store that carries Case and some other brands and the nice ones are $60+. Of course there are some $120 ones too, but that is too much IMO.

Honestly im not complaining about the price.
Im a knife collector and , well.. heck i carry about a grand worth of knives on me everyday!

Here, here! My daily carry is an Emerson too! And I'll back up Mola Ram here... the Hubertus is a high quality German knife that is easily worth the money. It's association with the film is just an added bonus!

$90 is nothing for a high quality knife, especially for stag. My EDC is a Benchmade large Skirmish. They retail for around $200.

I'm definitely going to start saving up for an Indy knife. I love the classics look and craftsmanship.

What Emerson do you carry Magnoli?

This is my EDC (everyday Carry)

Emerson Super SOCFK
Emerson Combat Karambit
Strider PT CC

I also carry a leatherman and a Boker Subclaw as well..

so FIVE knives is my EDC...

Nice knives.

The only thing I can carry regularly is a Leatherman Micra.
Any larger than that and the school would take notice....

I'd like to add one to my collection, too. I've misplaced my stag handle one I got from Magnoli, but it should be at home, as I had it in my pants pocket yesterday. Normally I am carrying that stag handle Hubertis, a mini Swiss Army knife on my key chain, a larger Swiss Army in a leather belt holder, and a Leatherman in my Nite Ize Pock-its.
We have a no weapons policy at work, but I've used both my Swiss Army (larger one), the Stag handle, and my Leatherman to peel an orange at the lunch table directly accross the table from our Corparate Security Director. He gave me a thorough look, but never said a word. He DID say that I could NOT wear my replica S&W as part of my Indy costume for the Halloween contest last year, so I just wore and empty holster.

I bought it about ten years ago and can't remember the model name! I checked the Emerson website, but can't find the same one. It has the handle like your top one, but the blade is the older style CQC style without the pocket-catch opener. Great knife!
