Waterproofing, 3M Scotchgard?

He wanted to know if someone tried to 3M product "Scotchgard" in his fedora, and if he has given favourable outcome :)

I'd stick with Scout. Made specifically as a felt hat rain and stain protector and is easily found here:

Safe for all felt and straw hats!!!

The price isn't bad either and it was shipped to me like a lightning bolt.
